Rita Hart, MSW
Center for Tribes Director
In the way of introductions, I am the Center’s new director, Rita Hart, Citizen of Jicarilla Apache Nation and affiliated with the Choctaw Nation from Oklahoma. I have served as a social worker and administrator for more than 28 years, working in the arena of Tribal, State, and Federal systems. From my life teachings, I am committed to my core moral and ethical values to focus with grounding and purpose in this work. It’s an honor to serve in this leadership role for the Center for Tribes team and Tribal Nations we serve!
On behalf of the Capacity Building Center for Tribes, we thank you for partnering with us over the past five years to strengthen Tribal Child Welfare programs to serve American Indian and Alaska Native children, families and communities. We offer culturally-responsive services, tools and resources that build on a foundation of respect for the inherent sovereignty of Tribal Nations and the recognition that solutions come from within Tribal communities.
