The Minnesota Indian Women’s Sexual Assault Coalition and the Prostitution Research & Education detail their findings from a study involving 105 Native women. This article also includes recommendations on how to improve outcomes for Native women.  The goal of this study was to assess the life circumstances of native women in prostitution in Minnesota a group of women not previously studied in research such as this. The needs of these women, and the extent to which those needs are not being met, was assesssed. About half of the women met a conservative legal definition of sex trafficking.
