This document includes the official recommendations from the Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee to the California Judicial Council on how to amend rules and revise forms related to juvenile dependency hearings and adoptions in order to implement the provisions of Assembly Bill 1325. AB 1325 is tribally sponsored legislation that allows the adoption of Indian children, who are dependents of the court, through the custom, traditions, or law of the child’s tribe without requiring termination of parental rights (customary adoption).
