This working paper, developed through the Indian Child Welfare Community of Practice, provides a comprehensive overview of the legal requirements in Title IV-E and the many elements that must be included in tribal codes, regulations and/or written policies. Tribes can use this document to help make an informed decision on Title IV-E and gain an understanding of the the legal framework and tools needed.
